Welcome to Kaunas - Lithuania's second largest city and the provisional inter-war capital. In recent years Kaunas has exclusive aura becoming the European Capital of Culture in 2022. With wonderful sights, unique interwar architecture, parks and entertainments - there is so much to see and to experience here! At first you might be wondering, where even to start...

Let us make your life easier! Join guided free walking Kaunas tour on Saturdays at 12 AM (noon) starting from Soboras and see most of the highlights of the New Town (Naujamiestis). Our friendly Lithuanian guides will help you to discover the history of the city from Hanseatic League to the invention of the word “Kaunastic”. Together you will learn why Kaunas has the only Devils Museum in the world and how local government was tackling the problem of unemployment. Oh and let’s not forget the mania for basketball - the true religion in Lithuania!

Only 2-2,5 hours of walking and you'll be guided through the main spots and everything you need to know about this historic Lithuania's center surrounded by Nemunas and Neris rivers. But Kaunas tour is not only about things which happened 100 years ago and what impact they have today. During this excursion you will be acquainted with contemporary art and modern architecture, too. It’s also a great opportunity to meet locals and chat about everyday life in Kaunas or their perspective for the future in Lithuania. Don’t forget to ask the local people for tips about the best way to visit the rest of the city and what other things to do here! Spend at least one day in Kaunas and take all it has to offer!
