FAQ

Who are the guides?

We are professional licensed guides in Vilnius, so you are in safe hands :) We are all full of enthusiasm, love our job and want you to have a great time with us!

Do I need to pre-book tours?

Reservation for the tour is required! You can book on our website, email hello@vilniuswithlocals.com or phone.

If you don't have a reservation and can still come to the meeting point. However, we cannot guarantee that the tour will take place as the tour might be cancelled if we don't have any bookings.

Do I need to pre-book free tours?

YES! Due to COVID-19, in 2020 pre-bookings a day before are required . If we receive no bookings for Vilnius free walking tours, the guide will ot go to the meeting point. You can easily do it via the website for free.

Groups of 8 or more people should book a private tour. Due to COVID-19 we no longer accept bigger groups on our free tours.

Yes, we never cancel tours because of the weather.

How do I recognise the guides?

Our guides have yellow name tags or a yellow sign with the name of the tour, a yellow “Vilnius with Locals Tours” sign or "Vilnius With Locals Tours" bag. It is impossible to miss us :)

In what language are the tours?

All our regular tours are in English. However, we are happy to organise private tours in English, Russian, French, and Spanish.

What if I am coming with a bigger group (8+ people) ?

We recommend you to take a private tour for your group only. If you decide to join the free tour, please, give us a heads up. We try to keep our groups smaller so we will make sure to have more guides. However, we cannot guarantee you will stay together. We might need to split you into smaller groups as well :)

What is the "free tour"?

Pay-what-you-want is a popular tour concept all over the World. This tour doesn’t have a fixed price, you can decide yourself how much you pay your guide at the end of the tour. You can give 5 EUR to you guide or you can give 50 EUR whatever you feel the guide deserves :)

We are not supported by the city, we can run these tours because of the travellers who like our idea and work. That’s why we always do our best to give the best tours we can. At the moment we have 2 tours that are based on tips - Old town and Alternative tours. If you enjoy how we run tours, afterwards you can join other themed tours like Jewish, Soviet or Ghost tours

What are the meeting points of the tours?
