Experience contemporary art in Vilnius with SU-MENĖK (translation: Get Artsy)! Enjoy five weekends of free public transport connecting 50 galleries and museums. This year's slogan, Let art create you, invites you to explore vibrant exhibitions across the city.

When? 5 weekends in February: January 30 – February 1; February 6-8; February 13-15; February 20-22; February 27 - March 1
How much? Free public transport route* + tickets to some of the galleries

Due to our difficult history people in this part of the world had to declare, defend and build their independence over and over again. Check our blog post explaining the significance of this day!
Traditionally, this day is marked by formal and informal events such as raising the flags of the three Baltic States, festive concerts, and numerous speeches. You don't have to be Lithuanian to feel the unique sense of unity and savor the atmosphere of the city of freedom! In the evening, join the celebration on Gediminas Avenue where symbolic bonfires will be lit!

Did you know that on the last Sunday of each month, you can visit museums and galleries in Vilnius for free? Explore history, art, and culture at places like the Palace of the Grand Dukes, National Gallery of Art, and Trakai Castle. Discover unique exhibitions on Jewish heritage, film, and theater. Local note: It’s a popular day for locals to visit a museum, so be prepared for crowds and possibly some queues at famous spots like Gediminas Tower!

Love Story of Lithuania’s “Romeo and Juliet”
How to celebrate Valentine’s Day in Vilnius? Of course, by learning about one of the most beautiful and tragic love stories in Lithuanian history — the story of Žygimantas Augustas and Barbora Radvilaitė, Lithuania’s most famous royal couple. You will also learn about the political, cultural, and social life of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The event is organized by the Vilnius Tourism Information Center, is free of charge, and shows a different side of Lithuanian history.
