Despite what all the storefronts are proclaiming, December hasn’t arrived yet. November in Vilnius begins with quiet days of remembrance — All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days, when people honor their loved ones. After that, the city slowly fills with color, taste, and culture. Do you have good waterproof shoes and a reliable coat? If so, don’t hesitate to visit Vilnius and enjoy a month of gastro festivals, vibrant art, and cozy evenings before the Christmas rush!
All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day
Rasos cemetery
November 1–2 are special days in Lithuania to remember and honor those who have passed away. November 1, All Saints’ Day, is dedicated to all saints and blessed souls, while November 2, All Souls’ Day (Vėlinės), is when families visit cemeteries to light candles and pray for their loved ones. Centuries-old traditions fill cemeteries and churches with warmth and light. Both days are official public holidays in Lithuania, so many institutions may be closed or work shorter hours. Before visiting museums, shops, or other places, it’s best to check their opening times in advance.

It is more than a party — a night where the moods, sounds, and styles of Depeche Mode and related genres come together. The event welcomes everyone who feels the Depeche spirit in their own way.
